Trip to Paradise

Vancouver is one of the most beautiful cities in Canada. It located on Canada's West Coast and is perhaps North America's most beautiful city. When I started to think about studying English as a second language, many student advise me to choose Vancouver because it has a good environment for students.

There are many places to visit in Vancouver such as, parks, shopping, rafting, Grouse Mountain, Gastown, beaches, and many other things.

Stanley Park is a world famous park with lakes, beaches, lawn bowling, water park, children zoo, and many other activities to take in. Plan on taking a whole day to see.

Gastown was named for a talkative Yorkshire-born saloon owner, John Deighton, nicknamed Gassy Jack. Back in the days before this city was called Vancouver or even Granville, the area was important for logging. When Gassy Jack wanted to build a saloon on the south shore of Burrard Inlet for the local lumber industry workers, he told the mill workers there they could have all the whisky they could drink if they helped him build his saloon, which they did. It only took 24 hours. Today, a bronze statue of Gassy Jack, holding a barrel of whiskey. commemorates this early history of what became Vancouver.

Granville Island is the place to spend a leisurely afternoon. Part farmers' market, part artist studio and part magnet for the creative and flamboyant, it's one of the busiest spots in Vancouver.

Queen Elizabeth Park is Canada's first civic arboretum, a botanical garden devoted to trees.

Finally, I advise everyone to see the beauty of Canada (Vancouver).
